What is EIN?
EIN stands for Employer Identification Number. This number is issued for the purpose of tax administration. This number is also used throughout various parts of your business. You can use it to obtain business credit cards; set up bank accounts; use it for your business insurance; and give it to customers who are going to give you a 1099 form.
How do I get an EIN?
You’ll need to go to the IRS website and apply online. This is the preferred method to obtain your EIN.

What happens after I submit my application?
The information will be instantly validated while you are online and your EIN will be issued immediately. Print this out and save it to your computer or a thumb drive. The online application is available for all entities whose principal business, office or agency or legal residence (in the case of an individual), is located in the US or U.S. Territories.
The principal officer, general partner, grantor, owner, trustor etc. must have a valid Taxpayer Identification Number (Social Security Number, Employer Identification Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification number) in order to use the online application.
There are a few other ways you can get your EIN, but they make take a while to get. So, we suggest the online process.
